I've decided that every time the freedom to defend marriage is attacked, I'm going to write a check to the National Organization for Marriage, or a similar organization.
I hate the title of this article because it is so misleading. No cultural battle is ever final. Each generation of Christians needs to address and challenge the larger culture. If Christians are faithful followers of Christ, we will face each challenge. I am confident that we can win the battle for marriage but it might take us as long as it is to win the pro life battle (which we are winning.) I agree with the article that our problem is leadership with many christian "leaders" being absent or fearful and defensive.
If this wasn't so sad, it would be so funny. A conflict between a hispanic man and black man, so the pastor blames white people. Seriously?
I am not sure that conservatives are in the wilderness. I am very aware of a massive conservative movement at the state level. Look at the rejection of obamacare, the number of states that are considering ending the state income tax, and other reforms. There is a lot of energy and activity on the state level. Conservatives believe in decentralization, and I think that is where our movement is going.
