I'm sure they'll comb the ranks of available people to find the best possible replacement. There is only one disqualifier--being a white male.

Multiculturalism Is a Failure

As long as the 2nd Amendment is still even partially intact, the citizens of this country will eventually have to do what the government won't--clean up this mess, once and for all. Multiculturalism is probably the biggest threat Western civilization has ever met. It will not be pretty and it need not come to this if our government would have simply performed the duties required of it in our Constitution. But, like an invasion of ants in your house, you don't have time to sort out which ants are good. You kill them all.
DHS has been scattering money willy-nilly throughout every law enforcement agency in the US ever since it was created, as if they had a printing press. Oh, that's right--they do. They are the ones responsible for militarizing the police with every vehicle, weapon and gadget their overpaid think-tanks can come up with. Question: If the military needed all this junk to combat terrorism, why are they giving it all away? The taxpayers bought this stuff for the military to use, not the police. Store it in the desert until it's needed again. We already "paid" for it once--I don't want to buy it again.

Don't believe for one second that two men "rescued" this country's financial system. This country has survived MANY recessions and depressions with no government intervention at all. All this Troubled Asset Relief Program did was rescue a bunch of fat cats who bet wrong on the securitized real estate market. They bet wrong and should have been punished (financially) but it would appear they were well-connected enough that those in power would use the US Treasury to make sure they weren't. That practice continues to this day through the Fed's "quantitative easing" program, buying toxic real estate backed securities from their buddies who got stuck with them, using money created out of thin air (but spends just like real money for those who get it) and put on the taxpayer's tab.

This article is, as usual, right on the money. However, I wonder why Dr. Sowell did not apply this same logic to his recent column advocating that we raise the pay of politicians? We have no problem whatsoever getting people to run for these jobs, in fact, they'll spend many times more than what the job pays to get one.
That principal ought to be dumped immediately. She obviously has her own agenda and is going to run her school like the little dictator she wants to be.

That's why they call it 'public service.' The LAST thing we need is to create more enticement for people to seek politics as a career. If they're so damn talented, let them make their millions in the private sector, THEN serve a short term. NO MORE CAREER POLITICIANS!
Please quit screwing up these articles by putting those stupid "hashtags" on every other word.
