This is the same "Corporate Thinking" that has given rise to frivolous law suits for bogus Worker's Comp and Product Liability Claims by saying "It's cheaper to settle out of court rather than fight for what is right." The result is more law suits and more robberies. When more armed robbers are taken out with a sheet pulled up over their head, the fewer of them there will be. As long as "Crime Does Pay" we will continue to see more of it.

When an armed robber entered a Virginia AutoZone store demanding that the manager unlock the store’s safe, employee and Air Force veteran Devin McClean snuck out of the store to grab his legally-owned gun from his vehicle. When he returned with his weapon, he was able to scare the robber away, thereby saving his manager’s life and the company $2,000. How was McClean rewarded for carrying out such a heroic act?
