Caught Red-Handed on Climate Change

Obama will push Green Energy Scams again for the next 4 years. It's his way of paying back political supporters and pandering to the Radical Leftwingnuts who love him. We will continue to waste more than $450 Billion annually buying foreign oil and avoiding more than 10 million good paying jobs that could be created if we produced all of our own energy but Obama going to keep telling us he's going to "get us off of oil." Yeah right. What a crock. Someday maybe, but it will be far in the future.

Actually, the fuel-ethanol folk have been around for a long time -- since Henry Ford built his first car, in fact. Farmers used to brew their own ethanol fuel for their own farm machinery, until the govt. began leaning on them for doing it. The govt. has been in bed with the oil companies since day one, and was always happy to lean on their possible rivals -- until the oil crisis and a lot of citizen complaints made it do some fast back-pedaling. Remember, it was Bush who first started giving govt. grants, tax-breaks and other "assistances" to alternate fuel producers, including fuel-ethanol. Obama's just mouthing promises that other politicians made years earlier.

WOW ! How naive everyone is. Ethanol in or gasoline gives me more than 2 MPG less in mileage and our beef cattle grain feed almost DOUBLED from last year. I drive a used 2008 Caddy DTS, Northstar and used to get 23 miles per gallon. On the open, hilly roads, 25 MPG. This summer, the best I could get was 21 MPG. Winter blend, 20 MPG. OK, so what are we saving ?? I have to buy 2 more gallons of gas, to go the same distance, I did, before they added ethanol !! Now they are going to 15 % ethanol ! HOW STUPID ARE YOU ?? HUH ! There goes the pipeline from Canada to Texas, USA ! We may as well all our children to China ! Thay own us anyway.

"...beef cattle grain feed almost DOUBLED..." due to ethanol, last year, correct?
As a cash grain AND beef cattle farmer that's hard to believe. As an example, feed "distillers" is made from corn used for ethanol.
Also I have for the last 5-6+ years used "E30" ethanol blend in ALL my vehicles. I will not claim a change because of the many other variables involved. Mechanically I noticed no difference other than no need for fuel system cleaner. The E30 blend is at the pump typically around 5 cents cheaper than standard 10% ethanol blend.
So Leslie tried to bring a bit of historical perspective on the ethanol debate and you chime in with anecdotal data while calling all of us "naive" and "STUPID". Thanks for your, um, contribution.

A prominent global warming scientist, Peter Gleick, who was chairman of the ethics committee at the American Geophysical Union, admitted last year that he stole some documents- and he may have forged others- from the conservative think-tank the Heartland Institute. But that’s all in a day’s work for a work-a-day climate warrior. The important thing isn’t the quest for the truth in global climate research, but, as Charlie Sheen would say, winning. With winning comes cash.

Because for some time it’s been clear, that in the climate debate, instead of actually accomplishing something worthwhile, all the attention will be...
