Solution - The Government creates mutant strain of H1N1 Virus targeting anyone over the age of 60............They're working on it as we speak. wink/wink Small changes were made to SS many years ago. That program of increasing the retirement age could have worked under Plan A. But even with their projection at that time, there was little room for mistakes in judgement to promise the boomers what they were entitled to under the program. Under the present scenario ...there is no Plan B that can safely maneuver through hard times to guarantee benefits that were promised and dutifully contributed to during a lifetime of work for many. Retirement and Medicare payments paid went to illegals, wars, waste, fraud and more for decades.

Jon Stewart's War on Women

What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Leftists got rid of Glenn Beck and Pat Buchanan......based on statistics and history which they did not like (not to be confused with hate speech). Now the right (religious) fights back. Congrats to Bill Donohue and Christians in general for calling out actual religious hate speech disguised as sick humor. The Catholic League is asking for an apology....not dismissal of Stewart. Until Christians get that apology, I hope more sponsors leave this stupid show.
I agree, he would be a bad pick for VP in more ways than just this issue. His style and aggressive personality would not go over well with the country other than east and west coast states.

Tomorrow's Man -- or Yesterday's

Rubio is talking tough....right now. Ryan M is right. He is catering to the Jewish sentiment (vote) in Florida and elsewhere in the U.S. Romney is supposedly good friends with Netanyahu from years ago but in the end, reason and diplomacy should outweigh military aggression, I hope. Ron Paul should have a major speaking slot at the convention and I believe he and his followers will have a strong message (which reflects the distaste of many Americans in general ) as to further and stronger involvement in Iran and Syria. I think Rubio is flexing his muscles with this speech and nothing more but...????
IBuilders, mortgage companies and appraisers had a lot to do with the bust as well. They were all high on the gravy train. With the government allowing these no down/or low down mortgages with little credit worthiness, it was a way to pump up the coffers of state and local governments with new real estate taxes and also increase retail sales from everything to carpet, building materials, furniture, landscaping and everything else associated with new homes and resales. It was a win win situation for all of them until the bubble burst. In my home state, real estate values have plummeted to pre 1997 prices and I have not only lost appreciation during that time period but I have lost a good part of my principal as well.

No More "Mr. Obama Is a Nice Guy"

When people are being polled as to likability for Obama, probably half say they like him but don't like his policies. They don't have the courage or honesty to say they don't like him, personally either. I believe Obama's likeablity factor is severely over stated.

Everything in those political ads about Newt Gingrich was true. On the contrary, that so called "movie" about Bain Capital that Gingrich's Super Pack made was filled with distorions, lies and interviews of people who worked for companies before Bain took over them or who had received better jobs because of Bain taking over their existing company. As far as the other issues you mentioned, I believe Romney has adressed them in debates. Gingrich is a pompous, narcissistic, ego maniacal and delusional has been. Good Riddance to a bad penny.

continued: restore balance and dignity to the office of President. Ed Gillespie has been hired to help out Romney's campaign. I think we will see a more interesting, inspiring and bold presentation from Mitt as he secures the nomination and takes on O'Bummer in the fall.

Ann Romney has a strong, commanding and genuine personality who is extremely proud of her husband. You can see the loving devotion and the way Mitt Romney's eyes light up whenever she appears with him. They are the epitome of a loving couple and family straight from "Father Knows Best" and "Leave It to Beaver". A popular song from a few years ago describes her perfectly and compliments a man with personal strength, values and great business sense. The line in the song is "You are the Wind Beneath My Wings". If Conservatives around the country can set aside differences and see the light emenating from this couple...they will be rewarded with a President who will make every attempt to right the wrongs that have taken place over time and

He's tied to MSNBC and that liberal station calls the shots. It's all about money. I agree Marie - he doesn't sound like a Republican. When Pat Buchanan left that station, any kind of balance (what little they had) was lost. Even that Michael Steele, the fill in commentator) is talking more like a liberal than a Republican these days. I've been turning off the station myself after a short while the last few months.
