Legitimate sportsmen very much use the AR platform for hunting, including the Bushmaster .223: an excellent choice for predator's such as coyote. Over the last ten years these rifles have been available in different calibers and configurations and are beoming very popular with hunters. Cuomo apparetly has no idea of what an assualt weapon is: a selective fire, military weaopn which is already banned for civilian use nor does he really understand the rights enshrined by the 2nd amendment. He should be impeached if he proceeds with his plans.
