I'm in Utah. It would be a waste of time for me to write mine, they're going to vote the way I want them to anyway. I'd like to write yours, just like I'd like to vote for your representative and senator, but they don't care what I say.
Re: gun control. If I believed in conspiracy theories, I'd believe that the Brady Bunch has put up a bunch of sympathetic martyrs to go do as much damage as possible to the reputations of law-abiding gun owners as part of a broad spectrum assault on our rights. If they aren't Brady collaborators, these recent mass murders are doing a deal of damage on whims.
Amen! I'm still waiting for stock holders to sue the government for interference with their contract rights. This most lawless of administrations in my lifetime has screwed over property owners repeatedly. Just wait until EPA bans fracking on private property. Will property owners rise up and demand their constitutional rights?
Well, there's an shallow analysis of a long dead event. How about a strong letter to Geroge Schultz? He's still alive, working at the Hoover Institute.
Close but no cigar. The purpose of government is to continue by humoring the largest class of voters, i.e., the middle class. To look at friends, relations, and contributors without looking in the mirror is a moral failure characteristic of the greediest of takers: i.e., again, the middle class.
There's not a party with serious candidates and realistic chances of winning the White House that doesn't pander to corn producing states, ESP. Iowa. Why do you suppose that is? Could it be that Iowa's outsized influence in the presidential sweepstakes as the first caucus state corrupts them all? I suggest there's no real chance to scupper ethanol as long as Iowa is chock-a-block with corn farmers.
Mr. Hawkins, Surely it comes as not surprise to you that liberals/Dems/Progs do not deal in facts. There's no point in introducing facts into any discussioni with them. They're response is always the same. "You're mean."
"empirical evidence should matter more than raw emotions:" That happens so rarely when dealing with Dems as to be an unrealistic expectation. You have only to look at the fiscal cliff matter. Everyone knows that spending, and specifically entitlements, are the cause of the problem. Does Obama bring his proposals for serious spending cuts to the table? Nope. Typical. Dems live in a different world than the rest of us.

That F&F program was how they strategized to get control of guns in the US. They were going to use that to justify riding roughshod over gun shows, gun sales, ammo sales, etc. It blew up in their faces so now this silly creature Lanza gives him his Crisis that shouldn't be wasted.
The Question of the Ages: How involved is Obama in anything except crushing Republicans and golf? Repeated reports during the last 4 years described the Prez as "bored" "indifferent" "depressed at the rat race of governing" "detached" "unavailable" etc. Policy seems to make his eyes glaze over.
