What went wrong? Too many takers, too few makers. An appalling lack of economic literacy. A minority population that voted en masse for the man whose policies have hurt minorities most of all. Yep...too many illiterates.

Oh? With educations that increasingly mean less and less. You've certainly seen the reproductions of high school exams of even 75 years ago. Kids get an easy ride today.

No....they are just taught that they are more educated. It seems to be the only thing they learn. Children in one room schools, with shared books, and older students helping younger ones, with very limited funds, were better educated than what our multi-million dollar schools turn out today.

Then why did they recenter the scores on the SATs to make up for how much stupider people are today? When I "converted" my 1974 scores to scores today, they went up nearly 100 points, and would have gone higher if I didn't top off in Math.

Disbelief is the word that defines the Republican state of mind in the wake of the 2012 re-election of President Barack Obama.

The obvious questions are: “How can Americans have re-elected a president who has presided over an economy where unemployment still hovers at 8 percent ?”

And, “How can Americans have re-elected a president who still doesn’t grasp that his big government policies are what have blocked our economic recovery?”

The Republican Party needs to take responsibility for this disaster.
