I'd say it is criminal to tell children not capable of handling the possible consequences of anything that it's okay to partake in such an act--whether it be drugs, drinking, or sex. This idea that sex can be used just for recreation without any worry of the consequence of pregnancy is deeply flawed. There is no other natural way that humans reproduce other than through sex. If the unwillingly pregnant teen is terrified, it is because no enough information was given to her on the consequences of her actions. I truly do have pity for her, but that does not mean I condone her actions to murder the life she helped to create because a lack of information. Bad after bad does not result in good.
