No, they either don't know anything about him other than the echo chamber says he's greatest thing since sliced bread or their desire to prove they aren't "racists" is in play. How else can you explain the behavior of people who say they are against amnesty and gun control all of the sudden wanting this guy who is in favor to run for office? I say it is both factors at work in this situation.
