Obama's Electronic Medical Records Scam

Yeah... there is a lot of potential for fraud and Government Oversight & Spying... that's the downside. There is an upside. I've been seeing numerous doctors and facilities recently to prepare for neck surgery. I have online access to all my medical records for the first time... It's Awesome!!! No longer do I have to guess or try to remember my medical past... I can print it at home and retain my own hard-copy records... I Did! The ones that aren't downloadable... I printed and scanned to indexed PDF files... I love it! Yes... Obozo-Scare concerns me greatly and rightfully so! Big Brother (Obozo) is looking to Tax & Grab all that he can! As long as I can access my own records... I control the conversation with my doctor(s)! TCG-L

Good for you for finally stepping up. I've carried MY OWN medical history with me for a decade. I realized a need and update it as required. It's not that hard to do, and is something EVERYONE should carry right next to their identification, in case of emergency when you cannot communicate.

Thanks, Liz!

I keep it all together in a folder and another in a briefcase now! It comes in handy!

...Ah, but when Obozo is closer to his goal of making the world equal, you'll be the only one who can look at your medical records, because Doctors worth their salt will have set up shop in countries who aren't as business/profit hostile, and the quacks that are left in the domestic medical system will be interchangeable with either the tax collectors who enforce your mandatory participation in Obozocare, or the death panels who will determine whether you're medical needs measure up to their chosen standard for treatment. (Maybe the more important records you need to keep for your own health is your democrat donation and union support records?)

I thought Torr's comment was a suggestion that in order to be considered "worthy" of receiving care, one's politcal spending may be scrutinized.

Here's more evidence that government "cures" are inevitably worse than the "diseases" they seek to wipe out. Buried in the trillion-dollar stimulus law of 2009 was an electronic medical records "incentive" program. Like most of President Obama's health care rules, this top-down electronic record-sharing scheme is a big fat bust.

Oversight is lax. Cronyism is rife. The job-killing and privacy-undermining consequences have only just begun.

The program was originally sold as a cost-saving measure. In theory, modernizing record-collection is a good idea, and many private health care providers have already made the change. But as with many government "incentive" programs,...
