Are you sure of this? The environment should be right (especially in Kentucky) for a conservative replacement to people who are the part of the problem rather than part of the solution like Mitch "been in Washington forever" McConnell. Then we unfortunately get total jerks with platforms who will sabotage their own fellow Republicans whom they disagree with like the insufferable Karl Rove. Jeb Bush? I've always been a pragmatist, voting for the lesser of two evils when necessary, but Jeb Bush? I will never again vote for another Bush! Period!
As half of the Moe-Larry spokesperson team (Boehner being the other half) of the Republican wing of the Democrat Party I felt like puking watching that phony Mitch McConnell waving a musket over his head. Image over substance...pull-eeze....

God bless. Go for it: more of us need to have this kind of adamancy. A cousin in NC fears the worse as the retirees from the Northeast retire there living on their lavish government pensions that are bankrupting states like Connecticut as they vote like they did as union members.

God, I'm getting tired of all this insanity. Can't we just split the country in two and let the sensible people all live together on one side and the lunatics can have their own country on the other side. We could call ours "The New United States of America" and they could call theirs "New Zimbabwe" or "New Sodom" or whatever. Loved the way Providence College solved their unequal participation of the genders in sports teams a few years back....they dropped baseball.

Perhaps if the networks weren't so afraid of the politically correct crowd...oh wait, they are the politically correct crowd...we could actually have some thought provoking and funny sitcoms again. Archie Bunker today would be protested by the thin-skinned crowd off the air after one episode. The only fair game topic today is sex so they all compete against each other to see who can be the raunchiest and the results are the stupidity that's on the air today which is the thing that makes these kids think that is the way it should be.
Arizona Republicans had the chance to replace McCain with solid conservative J.D. Hayworth in 2010 and failed to do what they allegedly wish they had now. Same McCain today as then so how do we know they'll do the right thing next time?
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." -1 Corinthians 2:14 "But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost..." -2 Corinthians 4:3
I hope that you are a new Christian and just don't know much yet..."Go ye therefore, and teach all nations..." (Matthew 28) doesn't quite jive with "Jesus never said you had to preach it in a public building." Jesus said, "Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female, and said, 'For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What God hath joined together, let not man put asunder..." (Matthew 19) doesn't jive with going with the flow concerning today's perverted culture and homosexual "marriage." When you say, "the only truth of Christianity is that you believe in Jesus..." are you ignoring: "Not every one that saith unto Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of My Father which is in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name? and in Thy name have cast out devils? and in Thy name done many wonderful works?' And I will profess unto them, 'I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity.'" (Matthew 7:21-23)
"Why do the heathen [unbelievers] rage, and the [unbelieving] people imagine a vain thing? The kings [political, legislative and judicial authorities] of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against His anointed, saying, 'Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.' He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall He speak unto them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure." -Psalm 2:1-5 Why does God wait? "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night..." -2 Peter 3:9-10 "It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." -Hebrews 10:31
I think you meant the white and conservative churches cannot mix religion with government. The black liberal churches bring this mix to the pulpit un-harassed all the time. Just ask Bill Clinton. Just ask Jesse Jackson.
plus....Connecticut....Maine....New York....Rhode Island....Vermont...(holding out a little hope for New Hampshire)... etc. Haven't a clue how to connect them all with reality...maybe when Obama's America totally collapses, but then they'd just run to him and dopes like Markey for help...
