Exactly. That is the ONLY way. When things go wrong and boy have they the tendency of party hacks like Rove and the boys is to figure out how to appeal to interest groups which is liberal light. If your a liberal do want liberal light or LIBERAL? Obviously the latter. Conservatism is a set of prinicples that are TIMELESS and therefore need no changes. What needs to happen is a letting of the consequences of this evil turn of events and a strong powerful conservative message that resonates and it will- TRUTH is TRUTH no matter how popular the lies.

If the GOP wants to win more black votes, it will need to get a lot more "racist."

The scare quotes are necessary because I don't think the Republican Party is racist now (and, historically, the GOP has a lot less to answer for than the Democratic Party does).

But that hasn't stopped a lot of people from slandering Republicans as racist for one reason or another.
