Okay.....I know his upbringing was just so American....the values were so typically American.....he loves our Constitution and abides by it daily......He said he would put the Obama-care bill on the internet to read for 72 hours...I remember spending those 72 hours mulling it all over.....He said our borders would be secure and he and Bush finished that fence...I love how it goes from Texas to California.....He stated that the unemployment rate would be below 6% by now....its great to see it lower than that......He stated that the unemployment rate for minorities would be cut in half--- I love seeing black teens and Hispanic teens and their parents being employed right and left and the rate dropping....I love how his promise to veterans has been fulfilled :http://www.gop.com/news/research/obamas-promises-to-veterans-still-unfulfilled/....Yea I really love his care for those late term babies..as a senator he was so in their corner...Il bill sb 230.... I tell ya I could go on and on....but you get my point This man is the second coming or George Washington!!!

Exactly spot on. I don't understand Buchanan at all. He usually sees a lot of things pretty clearly. This analysis would almost seem tongue in cheek if it weren't so over the top.

Exactly. Nixon's ratings tanked. Clintons went down for a while. Reagans went down ;after their scandals-(none of them in my view as widespread as Obama). Reagan had the right ideals, Nixon was paranoid and Clinton was a sleaze. They all paled in comparison to this and took a hit-Nixon left disgraced. And today Obama maintains his numbers. Tells you a lot about the electorate.

... I do understand your point- but I question the country. Look at television, the culture, the cynicism. In 1980 the culture still had a sense of self individual pride and the desire to stand on ones own two feet. In the 2000's Bush kept manipulating with his fiscal policies of giving little incentives to people from the government and his no child left behind and prescription drug policies- all socialistic nonsense. Since the end of Reagan this mentality has mushroomed into an environment where an Obama was possible. --Nazi Germany didn't happen overnight. German policy and recklessness led to an environment. Today we have a country with a serious illness and Obama is a symptom.

I can agree others are involved- but I disagree that its a huge façade of conspiracy (if that's your point). I understand others are involved. Reagan was financed by a large conservative conglomerate in 1966 in California. But the fact remains the climate has changed in this country. 15 years ago a guy like Obama couldn't make a dent. Today the country is as dumb as a box of rocks (I speak in general terms) and the culture has become so pre-occupied with entertainment, escapism and a life characterized by little knowledge or care of how their government operates or the principles involved. The fact is Obama was a natural for his ascendency. He was an articulate black man (1/2) who dazzled at the DNC in 04 and he led a democratic party that for 20 years has lurched so far left it cant see the past at all- no vision of JFK, Scoop Jackson or FDR or any of that. Its now a socialistic- Marxist enterprise and a country that is increasingly dependent on government - This wasn't helped by the Bushes who despite a strong military side were weak kneed social liberals who looked more to the government.

The man is not dumb and he is not disinterested. He is a believer in Marxist-Socialist policy and he has a great understanding of manipulation of the masses. To say that he is Chauncey from Being There who is being pulled by puppet strings assumes a lot. It assumes he wasn't trained (he was), that he isn't intelligent (he is), that he has no real core beliefs (he does). The man is firmly in control of manipulating the masses. Hitler manipulated millions with his intense belief in his self righteous virtues. Obama manipulates people. No one could just walk into the fray and control emotions as he has unless #1 he had charisma #2 he was intelligent, #3 he had the backing of the institutions of power-msm, popular culture. Obama is no puppet- he's a manipulator with the right climate to do his deeds in a culture dumbed down from previous generations.

Totally agree. To even consider this guy is out of the loop is ridiculous. Chicago politics gone awry. Not going to change and when your mentors are Alinsky, Wright, Ayers, Dohrn and other miscreants along with his step dad a lifelong communist- why would anyone think this guy is dumb or not aware? Buchanan is either getting senile or has a soft spot for the Hussein.

Seems Pat is more inclined to judge Obama on style than substance. Nixon was intensely involved in policy and yet in reality Watergate was a result of stupidity and Nixon who was vilified by the left ever since the Hiss case was a man who reacted to his enemies in paranoid ways leading to his demise. Reagan and Iran Contra was definitely an affair initially based upon on strong desire for freedom and liberty in the midst of the cold war- it turned out arms were involved for hostages- but Reagan co-operated with the investigation and survived it. Clinton wasn't ABOUT SEX- it was about PERJURY- those with any sense of reality know that. ---Obama is pure political calculation - his DOJ is a nesting place for anti American, pro Islamic diatribes. The tea party, gun owners, white males who are pro constitution and others of that ilk are considered the enemy. To say Obama is unaware is like saying Castro was unaware in Cuba - the policies and the scandals are consistent. I think Obama just loves feigning unawareness. This administration is like NOTHING we have ever encountered.
..Got news for ya Mr. Katz-aint gonna happen. They will circle the wagons.---And finally: 2009-10 didnt happen by not showing up- just the opposite. The Tea Party won a lot of respect and juxtaposed with OWS is twice the moral presence as any leftist could be. Listen the left will NEVER STOP SHOUTING FROM THE ROOFTOPS and playing nicey nice with them and expecting them to police themselves is pure folly. RINOism fails every time. Ronald Reagan would give a speech on this cra p daily as he did in the 70's when Jimma took the country to the precipice. mcCain-Romney-Doleism doesnt work.
So the vast majority of Americans are IGNORANT of the events the past week- or at least the usual suspects- and the MSM which is somewhat.....very somewhat putting the onus on Obama is NOT I repeat NOT going to go full bore against him. Dana Milbank and Chris Matthews are already preparing columns and remarks to lessen the blow I can guarantee it. This administration is shameless and WONT BE SHAMED by the MSM. Mr Katz you can get as excited as can be at the MSM this past week-but like the Chesire Cat that smile is gonna leave. Then what....drip drip drip...dry dry dry....gone like the wind...yesterdays news. The Obama administration has done this for 4 1/2 years. -SO like Romney- "Hey Mitt sit tight, dont mention Libya"..... Hey do the RINO shuffle....shuffle your feet say that aint right and wait for the left to implode.
