Another point is that Gov. Romney was masterful but why? Why was he able to attck Obama so well when McCain failed so miserably? Of course a huge reason is Obama has a miserable record. But also its because Gov. Romney went offensive in nature and attacked the record of liberalism and wasnt afraid to pound into the conscious of America that Obama's policies cannot work. McCain tried to play footsie with Obama and the left and sounded at times like an apologist for Obama on certian levels. Lesson? Reaganism-conservatism works when offensively prosposed and contrasted- RINOism is liberalism light, Hopefully if Romeny wins he will govern that way?!

Obama had no record when McCain had to face off with him. He was new and shiny, and the race card had not been worn out at that point. In addition, the economy had just collapsed under republican white house.
McCain had a much harder row to hoe, my friend.

McCain played easy and basically called Obama an excellent choice a number of times. So my friend look back and re-read my post, I never said it was the same in 2008, but McCain refused to fight hard when he coud have.

Mitt Romney had a superb night and the contrast between his calm and in-command performance and that of a flailing, rambling president could not have been sharper, and indeed it could not have been more disorienting for the Chicago Gang running the president's re-election campaign.

The day after the president's face-plant in front of 67 million viewers, the geniuses behind the nation's dismal economy instructed the president to go ugly,...
