I believe it was in the late 1800’s SCOTUS outlawed the carrying of lottery tickets across state lines. The reasoning is that the lottery is against public morals. The Court later, in The Lottery case, in a round about way, made lotteries legal as they remain today. Theory is, all insurance is a form of lottery. An odds game. If insurance is legal then a lottery should be legal.

There is the fundamental flaw in free nation. By the government forcing a risk allocation on employers and individuals is restraining in unfathomable ways. Capitalism, democratic society, basic freedom of choice mandates we be allowed to chose our own points of risk.

International affairs is a primary way for a president to usurp Congress. Beyond his pay grade? sure; Beyond his power? yes = the executive branch should not be making law; What is a little confusing to me is the use of the power, the foundation is tenuous and may be another for the Supreme Court. The Constitution grants the power to make international policy, but if it is in direct conflict with, say the 6th amendment (right to face accusers) I think it gets muddy.

Melendez-Dias touched on this. I am still waiting for the Court to eventually get fed up and allow one of these 'production of documents' to reach their court. The cases challenging his citizenship.

Well said. This administration's policies have driven many to pay better attention. I hope when a leader of America is once again in office, Hussein's theories can be viewed objectively. Hussein's goals appear to be leading him into competitiveness for world leader. No policies are strictly pro-US. All appear to benefit the world majority, not the US majority. Politically, he wouldn't want a Christmas opinion to alienate him from the non-christian people.
