It would be so nice if the American public would be willing to listen to a strong voice speaking out against the evils of leftism and the immorality of Obama and his Democratic Party. Unfortunately, with such a large portion of the electorate being uninformed or "low information", optics and language are so important. For a conservative candidate to win a national election, he will have to learn how to communicate his values with a mild tone and a great deal of repetition in order to educate ignorant people who will vote Democrat rather than vote for a confrontational conservative. Of course, if we had a media that was journalistic rather than just a propaganda arm of the DNC...

Some political commentators are dancing on what they believe to be the grave of the Republican Party, claiming that the only way the GOP can have a viable future is for them to behave like Democrats.

Last weekend, National Review magazine sponsored a "conservative summit" in Washington. They should have held it elsewhere.

Prior to speaking at that event, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal addressed the Republican National Committee's annual winter meeting in Charlotte, N.C., where he proposed a new strategy for Republicans and conservatives that begins, not in Washington, but at the state level.
