Kids are like computers and refrigerators that improve since their are part of the free market? If kids were part of this free market-smart entrepenuers would want only the best and brightest at their schools. Ther other kids would be dropped just like you cut waste and shutdown factories that don't produce. Teachers fail like in every other profession.You have 7 million teachers. Defense lawyers don't get paid based on how many they get off. Doctors don't get paid based on how many people they cure.
Since progressives want government to run health care, let's look at what government management did to K-12 education. While most every other service in life has gotten better and cheaper, American education remains stagnant.

Spending has tripled! Why no improvement? Because K-12 education is a virtual government monopoly -- and monopolies don't improve.
