You want to really help people? How about instead of Obamacare, we just gave companies a 100% tax write-off for healthcare for part-time employees? How hard would that have been? Hm?

easier to allow sale of health care insurance across state lines. More people in the pool, more competition, lower price and more options for coverage. Then take the money saved and set up a better system for the TRULY disabled and people with pre-existing conditions. BTW i know a guy who is 65 and was born with spina bifida and received extreamly FREE care from Shriners and St. Lukes hospitals, so who is falling through the cracks? if there were more wealthy and successfull charitable donations would go up and these problems would solve themselves in large part; and for those that are still left out then we can talk but bankrupting the country to save those who have it hard is not stewardship, it has no good intent, it is Wrong

Employer-provided health insurance has been tax deductible for decades. It is in fact what makes the left think employers should be required to have health plans.

If the Democrats really wanted to help people get health care more cheaply they would have made all health care products and services tax exempt a long time ago, right down to OTC items like aspirin and band-aids..

National Health care has never been about health care as far as the Democrats are concerned. It's always been about political power and control.

How about if we legislate health care savings accounts that work for medical care the same way 401ks do for retirement savings?

Again, Buck, no government control in that plan. Libs would never go for it.

but then the libs don't have control and it is always about power. see any communist country or social progressive country where freedom is either nonexistent or going under.

But that wouldn't work. Where is the government control in that plan? It's all about control, CM.
Exactly two years ago this week, the Obama administration announced it had issued more than 100 waivers en masse to a select group of companies, unions and other health insurance providers seeking relief from the onerous federal health care law. The Obamacare waiver winner's club now totals 2,000. Where are they now?

Answer: In the same miserable boat as every other unlucky business struggling with the crushing costs and burdens of the mandate.

Among the first and most prominent recipients of the Obamacare waivers for favors were large restaurant chains that provide low-wage, seasonal and part-time workers with low-cost health insurance plans called...
