I actually attended a speech by a Washington State Supreme Court justice who said that he wanted to rule that gay marriage was legal in part because the state had already allowed domestic partnerships. In other words, the slippery-slope argument was correct in that case. Once domestic partnerships were allowed, this justice believed there was no barrier to gay marriage.

To be fair, the knife was a kitchen knife. Knox's DNA could have gotten on there through normal use rather than through murder. And I have seen no allegation that it was Knox herself that used the knife to kill. (although maybe she helped kill).

And the black republicans like Thomas Sowell? Racist against himself? And we KNOW that liberal policies have improved black American lives SO much. (eyeroll). Actually black families have suffered much more under liberal policies than even the racist policies of the 50s (which I do not support in any way, I'm just contrasting). Many blacks are coming to see that the democratic party is a plantation. Feels safe, but it is slavery.

And the fact that most blacks are against gay marriage. I guess they are all bigots? And president Obama and Hillary Clinton were bigots until recently? And almost every single democrat polititian until recently, all of them were bigots too?

No one paid the 80% and almost no one paid the 50% because of loop holes. The question you should ask yourself, is "What is the ideal tax rate?" It might be lower than it is today, even though it's lower than it used to be.
Everytime I read stories like this I'm reminded of C.S. Lewis's Chronicle's of Narnia, particularly the book The Last Battle. I encourage everyone to read it. In that novel the people decide to worship a false god that is a combination of the true God and an idol called Tash. Here we have the Word being changed to help people feel better about sinning.
This is why it is important to get everyone to read certain economic's books. Like Thomas Sowell's books, or the writings of Frederick Bastiat. Or Von Mises or Hayek or even some of Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations.
Star, I agree with what you say, but what has been severely lacking in this debate (and why we are losing it) is a clear argument why homosexual marriage is wrong. What is the reasoning besides "it just is"?
