Did my graduate work (PhD) at UA as well (Roll Tide!), and none of my professors, including those on my dissertation committee, were conservatives. One professor was willing to admit that they live in a leftist echo chamber, but another told me flatly that I was intolerant and bigoted because I didn't buy into the flawed premise of critical theory. Oddly, one of the black professors I worked with on a committee was a Christian conservative who attended weekly Bible study and belonged to a Christian scholars group. He was my lifeline when I had to endure three years of Bush bashing from the faculty that determined whether I graduated or not. Tough times.
