These are people who have devoted their lives to thankless service of America. If I knew absolutely nothing about either of these candidates, I would vote for Romney based on this alone, and know that I was doing the right thing for our country.

How a Bitter Election Will End

Thank you Mr. Chapman for reminding us of one of the many reasons America is exceptional.
I would just like to point out that libs are free to come here (and other conservative sites) and engage in debate while no conservatives are tolerated at DemUNderGround or COS or most other lib sites. It's us "intolerant" righties that welcome debate. Imagine that...
Please come back on tuesday evening after the race is called and let's talk about it. :)
So... You're comparing Republicans to a man who slaughtered 6 million people. Tell me again who has a "penchant for overstatement"...
Do you know what a poll tracker is? I'll use small words. A poll tracker... tracks polls. That means it just tells you what the polls say. It doesn't say that the polls are right. And if that's still confusing, think of it as a sports report that tells the score of the game. The report isn't a game. Just like a poll tracker isn't a poll. I hope that clears it up for you.

What did I say to give you the impression that I have faith in polls? As I re-read my post I find only criticism of polls. Nor am I going by my gut (which tends to be pessimistic in most cases). I am going by the preponderance of indicators. There are far too many to list here. But the most telling of all is the campaigns themselves. Which candidate is acting presidential, and which is acting desperate?

"That, in itself, of course is not predictive" Not predictive. But reflective. We don't have to predict the mood of the country. It's there for all that have eyes to see.

I suppose we'll have to wait for another election to find out, since neither the popular vote nor the electoral college will be close this time. The hopenchange sycophants will never understand how small Obama really is. But a large portion of those that voted for O last time have seen the reality of this petulant egomaniac. Many polling organizations are using 2008 models for turnout (some even giving O higher turnout than 08!), which is inexcusable given the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Obama has lost his aura of invincibility and inevitability. The curtain has been drawn back on the great and powerful Oz. Many who voted for last time will vote for R/R. Others will simply stay home. This election is not close.
