Tax free gave me a good tip on a pistol (Kimber 1911). I googled them - very high ratings. It'll make a nice addition alongside my Mossberg pummp action. Anybody have recommendations on a good semi- auto?

If you are looking for simple, easy to maintain, and high quality, check out Sig p226. The takedown and clean is really easy, and the quality is excellent. This is the issue weapon of the Navy Seals.

I've got two Kimbers myself. Love 'em both. Not a lot of fun to clean compared to....say....a Sig, but all business..... Great guns.

They shoot straight right out of the box. Their trigger pulls are smooth, so no adjustments are needed.

9mm are better for practice because of cheaper ammo and less recoil. 45's are great stoppers though. Can knock down a horse.
