Meet the New Newt Gingrich

I could see Gingrich/Romney being very successful. I'm not a Romney fan, but he would appeal to moderates and would be useful in keeping Gingrich focused.

I now know that Coulter is more a Republican than a conservative. The republican party could become liberal and the democratic party could become conservative and Coulter would still be a republican.

Thank you Ms. Parker for this important article. Santorum is my first choice and I don't see why he doesn't get more traction. Is he better or worse than Mitt? Perry? Is Perry REALLY better than Santorum? Santorum has good experience, foreign and domestic and is consistently conservative.

I've thought this as well. He is smart but unwise. I think if I put him in charge of my life, he'd probably do fine, but put him in charge of his own life, and he'sbe a disaster.

I could get behind that ticket. If Newt is the nominee, then I want someone with him who is very serious and would keep him focused.

Newt would not try to push regulations to combat global warming. He won't do anything that doesn't have consensus among republicans and some independents.

I won't count him out. He may just do it. But there was a reason why so many of his staff bailed on him early on.

Listen, I would vote for Newt Gingrich, but I definitely have reservations. He has shown a real lack of self-control at times. Would he embarass us as president? Would he be dishonest with us and then try to cover it up? I think he'd be a great VP or chief of staff, but I worry he'd be scandal prone.
