ModerateConservative What does liberties mean to you? Liberty and risk are two sides of the same coin. Security and servitude are the two sides of another coin. One cannot enjoy the blessings of liberty without enduring risk; likewise one cannot enjoy the comforts of government provided security without giving up liberty.

Okay. I'll opt for liberty to make my own mistakes. Sure there is risk in living. But, progressives want to remove all risk, whether you want them to it not. The downside is they also take your freedom.

I'm floor layer by trade, I use a utility knife and what they call a bloody Mary knife, Every time I draw one of them from my pouch I'm at risk of cutting myself.....But I can't seem to find any nerf knifes for sale for cutting my materials....jus sayin'

Problems in society are rarely solved by Washington bureaucrats yet they seem to have taken the adage, ‘if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again’ to heart. Accordingly, the government is addressing the nation’s growing obesity epidemic with a regulation: Section 4205, the menu labeling provision attached to ObamaCare meant to “aid consumers in selecting more healthful diets.” As currently written, however, the regulation will likely have job-killing effects and result in little, if any, significant reductions in obesity rates and/or improved health.
