Liberals Panic As They Lose the Gun Narrative

If we as conservatives believe that armed guards/teachers in schools will work, and I do, then we need to actively work to institute this policy. It has to be more than just a counter argument to gun control.

We first have to convince the school employees themselves.
Armed guards can only be temporary, their cost would be too much, they're too visible and easily planned against. these school shootings are NO different than a terrorist attack. the guards would be the first to be shot.
BUT,allowing armed school employees who have carry permits costs nothing, and puts armed GOOD people right where they would be needed all the time the school is open, close to the children that need protecting.
It's a PROVEN-to-work method.(Israel does it,and it works there,against real terrorists.)

Having armed teachers (and other school employees)is like having plainclothes police scattered all around the school,at no cost. it's the smart thing to do.
it's also a DETERRENT,because these mass murderers SEEK OUT "gun-free zones" such as schools. If it's known that schools have armed people, the murderers will avoid them,as the Aurora murderer did;he bypassed theaters closer to him for the one that was "gun-free".

What are you going to do when the liberal teachers of Connecticut refuse?

Nearly all of the teachers in Blue States are liberal--many of them are very liberal. I saw that myself when I went to school in New York.

They're not going to go along with your idea.
And neither will the voters in those states, who would have to vote to change all their existing gun laws to allow concealed carry.

IT'S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, except in Red States where it's happened already.

I doubt they would be as likely to refuse as you think. On the other hand, they should be checked and evaluated carefully--and trained--before being armed. They are, after all, Liberals.

Need only require that some armed teachers be allowed. The rest can stroke out or "self export". Their choice.

my only concern is that the Feds will try to turn those guards into another branch of the TSA and end up groping the kids every morning
When you argue for a living, you can tell how an argument is going for you. The evidence and my gut both tell me that the liberals have lost control of the gun control narrative.

Not for lack of trying – it was almost as if they were poised to leap into action across the political, media and cultural spectrum the second the next semi-human creep shot up another “gun free zone.” This was their big opening to shift the debate and now it’s closing. They’ve lost, and they are going nuts.

The evidence is all around that...
