You mention him being outside a nightclub. As a CCW permit holder and a responsible citizen, I know that alcohol and firearms don't mix. Even in Colorado CCW holders are forbidden to carry in bars or while consuming alcohol But I suppose this Burgess clown considers himself to be "more equal" than the rest of us..

The same cut-and-paste, totally irrelevant off-topic blather. I'm not as annoyed by this housefly "Sybil" as I am by the fact the Townhall can't or won't fix the damn screen door!

I''ll agree that Fox News tries is damnedest. But even those folks can fall short, like in discussing Ron Paul's platform (not rather he is "electable'). You use the term "both sides of a story". I'm reminded of a talk show host on radio I listened to in the early 1980s, who refereed to this as "the either-or mentality". Even Commander Spock in the second Star Trek movie referred to Kahn's "two-dimensional thinking" (OK, I admit I'm a Trekker!). The truth is there are multiple "sides" to any issue and these "sides" can and will manipulate the story as it suits them. Folks like us have learned this of course, and will take the time to sift through the haystack to find the needles of truth.

California, especially Los Angeles, has been like this for decades. Friends of politicians get permits while gemstone couriers get the proverbial shaft.

The NRA also supports a national database of felons and mental cases. I'm not sure where that's at now, but previously that would be when the bureaucrats would turn their pockets inside-out and feign poverty.

People, especially those who are arming themselves for the first time, need to become intimately familiar with their weapon(s) of choice. And training is essential IMO. Not just with your weapon, but regarding the mindset you must have if you choose to leave the ranks of "sheeple" and advance to "sheepdog". Folks who simply go into Bass Pro, purchase a Glock and tuck i into their pocket/purse are doing themselves and others a disservice.

"Should we enforce current gun laws? Of course." The law that prohibits concealed carry permit holders from carrying in Public Schools needs to be rescinded. And if private entities insist on making their places on business "gun free zones", they should be required to post LARGE prominent signs at each and every public entrance that are worded in a fashion similar to the warnings on cigarettes. "WARNING, THIS IS A GUN FREE ZONE. YOUR LIFE IS AT RISK OF POSSIBLE INJURY OR DEATH FROM CRIMINALS BEARING ILLEGAL WEAPONS. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!" I wonder how many malls and movie theaters would re-think their policies when required to inform potential customer prior to their entering?
