Thank you for this series of articles. They are needed. And we, especially men, need to remember that these women are somebody's daughter. Most importantly, they are God's daughters. Let's treat them that way.

Mr. Chapman, I admire your version of history. It is so . . . interesting. Now, in order for you to get the full picture regarding how the Soviet Union fell, the long-term impact of the welfare state programs have had on Americans' social outlook, etc., I would gently suggest the following. Firmly place your hands on your sides and, with all of your might, try pulling your head out of your butt so you can actually see and think clearly. Soit sage.

Sonny, you wouldn't know the truth if came up and bit you on the butt. All you continue to do is show that the only thing that exceeds your incredible bigoted hatred is your embarrassing ignorance.

I'm beginning to think Steve Deace has a man-crush on Romney. Let it go Steve, let it go. I'm sorry Romney never returned you calls and letters, thus the reason for your anger against him. It's okay, just let it go.

Considering Romney pompous is like considering Obama a gifted speaker sans the teleprompter. It shows how little you actually know about the man in spite of your incessant blathering about him.

You make a great point. The book, A Different God? Mitt Romney, the Religious Right and the Mormon Question discusses the problems Romney had in 2008 which spilled over to the 2012 election.

Conservatives have been repeatedly accused by liberals of being narrow-minded religious bigots. While I have been heartened by some of the positive comments I have also been disappointed and disgusted with some of the bigoted, ill-informed comments bordering on outright hatred. This is not only un-conservative (or at least what conservatives should be), it is un-American. Mr. Adams did a real disservice to the conservative movement by writing such a disgusting belly-wash of bigotry and the people who have attacked, etc. have only added to this embarrassment to conservativism. I now await the deluge of insults and snide comments.

Unfortunately jjohnson, your comments belie your assertion of not hating Mormons. I hope you don't carry that much hatred but am truly unsure based on what I have read.

Really jjohnson? Really? I have read every affidavit and just about every letter, reminiscence, diary entry, etc. of Joseph Smith's plural wives. Most mentioned no type of pressure but certainly fear, repugnance at first, etc. A number of them mentioned thinking and praying about it and receiving their own confirmation that this was what they should do. Interestingly enough, one who felt pressured (not by Joseph Smith as much as her own father), Helen Mar Kimball, later was one of the most outspoken and articulate defenders of plural marriage. Have you read any original documents? Have you read the published affidavits and articles by some of the plural wives defending plural marriage (polygamy)? My guess is you have not. Perhaps your better move in this case would be -- SILENCE.

Cudlow, since everyone is apologizing right and left, I want to say I'm sorry for you. I'm sorry for your apparent ignorance. I'm even more sorry that you have so little respect for other people's beliefs as demonstrated by your bigotry and your referring to Joseph Smith as Joey. I do not agree with a number of Martin Luther's teachings but have never called him Marty or anything other than Martin Luther. I have even less agreement with John Calvin but have always called him by his proper name. I could keep going... All you have demonstrated is narrow-minded bigotry -- the vote for Jesus schtick is a great example rather than voting for a decent candidate who in his weakest moments was still so much better than Obama.
