Romney Understands America

Is Mr. Prager asserting that Romney understands America or Romney's understanding of America? Big difference. If Prager sticks with the title of the article than I see a problem with his claim. The problem is that about half the nation does not share Romney's idea. There are more Democrats in America than Republicans.

I'm not anti- black, I just don't want them to marry whites, go to school with my kids, nor live near me! Nice logic Prager- You're hilarious.
I don't think your comparison is at all reasonable. Cubans overwhelmingly supported Fidel in their overthrow of the U.S.- backed Batista regime.
So he loves Fidel, that's his opinion. Shouldn't we defend an individual's right to self expression even if we despise their ideas? Instead the Marlins suspend the guy for his outside the mainstream beliefs. That's un-American! Or maybe it's very American- we do love conformity here!

Friend, if you think this is inarguable you're just agreeing with someone whose ideas already match yours. What Prager says the Left is guilty of is true; it's also true of Rightist thinkers, as well.

What Kids Now Learn in College

By the way, I have heard that Mr. Prager's kids attend UCLA. I think Dennis knows that a degree seriously improves upward social/economic mobility, that's why he sent his kids to college. Why is there such fear of having kids learning opposing points of view; are our children so spineless... are we?

Inquiry should be the central goal of a university education. In the social sciences there is usually liberal bias, I agree. It's true that ideologues may use their position to proselytize young people- depending on your college it may be Left or Right. In Southern Universities how widespread is the liberal mindset? What's wrong with hearing a critical viewpoint though? Should I live my life in a sheltered manner, fearful that a book or professor asserts a different viewpoint than mine? A professor who teaches a hard-Left bias is just as bad as a professor who teaches a hard- Right bias. Most of my profs taught me to weigh both sides of the issues, and to formulate my own opinion, base on the knowledge I acquired.

Why Did Santorum Lose in 2006

I mean running on a platform of traditional values will not win an election. Santorum is pandering to the conservative Christian voting block- the overwhelming electorate is not made up of conservative Christians. Voters care about the economy and international affairs, not about a candidate's religiosity.

Santorum strikes me as an arrogant ignoramus. He's so hung up on the traditional values nonsense- Americans won't vote to support a conservative social agenda... It's a loser at the voting booth. Romney is the best candidate the Republicans have- he's moderate... that's what the American people want.
