Sorry, but there's simply no way to put a nice gloss on what happened Tuesday. This was an unmitigated disaster for our nation and it signals the final episode in our steady decline and replacement of our founding principles in the life of the nation by outside and hostile ideas to them. There is simply no way to reverse the trends that have been accumulating and accelerating since the 60's and I am afraid it's time for those of us who have conservative principles to re-assess our priorities. Last night was great. Two big victories, including a major comeback. Lots of drama, plenty of excitement. Here’s the bottom line: Notwithstanding chilly conditions and determined opposition, my Arlington County softball team cemented its hold on first place by sweeping a doubleheader.
