Conservatives like Mr. Schlicter continue to amaze me with their assumption that the ascension of the Liberal (read Humanist/ Communist) agenda will somehow either self-implode or otherwise be turned back by a resurgence of conservatism. What they fail to see is that this "ascendency" is not merely an anomaly or short term development but is in fact the distinct signs of an unraveling of a culture in its death throes. Conservatism will not return in any meaningful way in our lifetimes. Meanwhile, the brain dead who agree with the Liberal agenda because of the mistaken notion that if it is validates their choices, applaud its advance as if it will somehow mean a meaningful and prosperous life for them. They are the most deceived of all

Conservatism is the cure for the disease of liberalism. Every great empire was founded on conservative principles (eRome, Greece, Great Britain) and every great empire falls when liberalism takes over. So in a sense you are right. If we don't see a resurgance of conservatism the USA as we know it will fall and look a lot all of the rest of crapola coountries out there with bad services, bad utilities, bad economy, inflation, and high prices for everything. But it will be "fair"? THIS is the Liberal utopia? By the way every dictator and hi placed lib lives like an arch capitalist. Lib hypocrisy knows no bounds. They love the things that capitalism gives them yet hate the system that brings it to them at the same time. Libs ARE morons.

Greece didn't have a great Empire, Rome was a nightmare terror-state, and Britain pioneered every single atrocity of the 20th century's totalitarians (terror-rape like China and forced famine like Stalin, in Ireland; concentration camps in the Boer War). The one good thing Britain ever did was found America, and we got out as fast as we could.

I would not go so far as to say that our culture is in its death throes. I do agree that the CHANGE is permanent. I just do not see so many that are dependent upon the government changing their minds.

Is Gomer Pyle one of the Four Horseman of the Liberal Apocalypse?

The superficially surprising thing about last week’s announcement that Jim Nabors had married his boyfriend of four decades was not so much the nuptials themselves – I always felt Gomer was just going through the motions with Lou-Ann Poovie. Rather, it was the cultural reaction to the news that a huge star back in his day had decided he would tell even if we didn’t ask.

There was no reaction. America, including conservatives regardless of their feelings about gay marriage, collectively shrugged their shoulders and generally wished the elderly...
