So, let's be honest, if we were wasting $828 million dollars in taxes on something that had an effect worth 0.0008928571428571429 percent, the Tea Party crowd would be up in arms about "wasteful spending". The only reason why they support this is because it keeps poor black minorities from voting. That's the only goal here. Like I said, on the surface it makes sense to verify voters but when you dig deeper, it doesn't.

I think people are missing the point. Nobody is arguing that voter ID laws on the surface aren't a good thing. I mean, nobody wants FAKE votes being counted. We all get that. The problem is, we are making an issue out of nothing and wasting a ton of tax money in the process. The fact is, King County which was under investigation for "voter fraud" in the '08 election only had 25 cases when all the reports came back. That's 25 false votes out of 2.8 million! Do the math. Like's something like 0.0008928571428571429 percent!! Just count all those zeroes! Plus think of the cost to implement it. The cost to help people replace lost IDs which they will have to do. So far estimates are saying it'll be around $828 million. That is a ton of money!
