I am always stunned by how blatantly these politicians and bureaucrats can lie so brazenly, or reveal themselves to be clueless without any apparent embarrassment. Returns from "tea party" or "patriot" organizations are specifically flagged for audit, but it's not politically motivated? Jeez, she can't be that stupid, can she?

Liberals refuse to acknowledge the "slippery slope" we are on regarding gun control and abridgment of second amendment rights, but it sure is a big deal when it comes to killing babies. In their eyes, any recognition that maybe abortion should not be allowed under any circumstances is putting abortion 'rights" on that slippery slope, and they surely cannot have that. If you're not allowed to kill a live baby that the mother didn't want, then, holy cow, next thing you know, abortions in the last month of pregnancy may be illegal. They've got to stop this insane attack on a woman's right to choose!!!

II have a hard time with this stuff. My children's teachers, for the most part, were wonderful people truly interested in having their students learn. Unfortunately, there is little room in the California classroom for innovation since the curriculum and lesson content is pretty much dictated by the state. The problem is at the school board and administrator level, where producing educated children is nowhere near the top of the list of priorities. The Oakland school board could not care less about the results of the American Indian Charter schools or even about any alleged improper financial dealings of Chavis. They merely wanted to shut the school down, and found a way to do it.
