Only one person in any of those linked articles said he laid off employees because of the election, and that couldn't be verified because he didn't give a last name or the name of his business.

"Fairfax-based SRA International Inc. has given notice to the the Virginia Workforce Network that it will lay off 222 people in Arlington Jan. 1, 2013. The Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (WARN) notice is dated Oct. 29, and was made public Tuesday. The layoffs are related to a contract with the FDIC that SRA lost, wrote Spokesman Mark Hein in an email." They were also just acquired by a private equity firm.

Couldn't find anything conclusive about ING, but they did just approve a merger with Capital One that's sure to result in some redundancies.
