Your point must then be that Obama is running on Clinton's record? If so, you're not the first to notice. Unfortunately, you're also not the first to evidence complete blindness to the idiocy of this notion. Obama and Clinton couldn't be more different in their economic policies. Just because they are both Democrats and both progressives doesn't equate to them both governing the same way, and if you'd been paying even a little bit of attention the last four years you'd know that Obama has NOT governed like Clinton did. Clinton understood that presidents, to govern well, need bi-partisan support from Congress, and Obama doesn't get that at all. He thinks "compromise" is when the ideological opposition capitulates.

Because it was just another Democrat tax increase with a nice sounding title.

Government does not and cannot create productive jobs. It simply is not the proper function of goverment.

Why do you think we need more police? Crime rates have been dropping since the 60's.

Explain to me then, why did the Republicans shoot down the recent bi-partisan Veteran's Job Act, to give soldiers who are returning home jobs in the police forces and forestry industries? This was even co-written by some Repubs, who then voted it down. Was this Obama's fault for not crossing the line? Or was it Republicans who did not want to help create jobs, which would have looked good for the current administration? A compromise to assist our fighting men and women, AND help the economy, and the Repubs shot it down. Why?

Like the hostages jetting from Iran the day Reagan raised his right hand, America’s economy is about to bust its chains.

Not everyone will celebrate, even though they should.

America wants to recover.

In all our history, recoveries follow crashes. Usually, the deeper the dip, the steeper the climb back out. The only crisis with a recovery worse than Obama’s is the one that led to policies even more collectively transformative than his.

Builders, growers, producers, achievers—that is, employers--don’t know whether the next blow from the White House will aim at their taxes, their energy, their emissions, their employees’ tort rights,...
