John Basilone would have p*ssed his pants on that ridge and run like a scared rabbiton if he'd been raised in this sissified environment instead of pre-WWII days.

Gay marines. Right.

I'm sure the Soviets, the Chinese, and the Muslims are shaking in their boots.
I doubt if you asked an equal number of self-described Liberals the same questions you'd get any more knowledgable answers.

People don't have to be political philosophers to know when something is rotten in Washington.
It's about TRUST, a commodity that isn't acquired from a book.
Why were the Youtube videos removed from that prarie fire link?
gets to the heart of the matter. Well said.
The middle of nowhere and that many show up?

Man oh man, what's August in DC gonna look like?

Be there or be square. LOL

Maybe obama's economic policies are going to give more people more time to organize since they won't have any jobs to go to.

Tell me how, in your minds, you reconcile the fact that a third rate junior Senator from Chicago, with zero legislative accomplishments and legitimately questionable personal accomplishments now sits in one of the most powerful positions of influence in the history of the world?

Most of the people who voted for him, like olive, no doubt, didn't even know his name four years earlier.

I think you are both minimizing a very powerful factor in these elections. The fact that they did not always prevail over other factors does not diminish the significance of it in deciding the direction the country goes nor does it take into account the increasing influence this factor has.

As they say, "past performance is no indicator of future results". Even with a hapless opponent like McCain, in a sane world, an obama would not be in the White House today and attributing it to Bush fatigue does not adequately answer the question.

People were tired of Bush because they were "told" to be tired of him.

The advantage that certain partisan organizations like the formerly named ACORN have, at tax payers' expense no less, doesn't bode well either.
