You first. You're the one insisting that the country adopt a policy it has never had and insisting it will improve the military.

It hasn't improved the general society, so why should we expect it will improve the military?

I ask you: Why is the army better off having open homosexuality?

Tell me how what it is that homosexuals actually DO that makes it important that it be included in military life.

Tell me which you think is worse:

Having a moral standard and having failed to have met it,

or having no moral standard at all?

It's an issue of arbitrarily trading one set of standards that have resulted in the greatest experiment in the advancement of human rights for another which has never been tested, all just to please a politically powerful minority special interest group.
