McChrystal Resigning?

Got it.

I doubt if there's going to be any revelations. McChrystal will be effectively silenced.
That's what passes for honest journalism?

Now I remember why I don't watch this guy's program. Or any else's like him. (Listening O'Reilly and Hannity?)

Next time, try listening to your guest first, instead of talking over him because you like your biases more than his.

any comments by the General as to his reasons?
To the honest, no comments are necessary.

John, yes I have. I used to be a subscriber for many years. Have you ever read, "No Place For Truth" by David Wells, professor of Theology at Gordon-Conwell?

"fidelity to the shared values that we all hold so dear" No one with an ounce of intellectual honesty in his bones think he actually means what he says here. Just imagine the good he could have done for the country of he had just been a simple honest man. Of course, an honest man would have been to embarrassed to run for the presidency on such a thin or non-existent resume as this one has.

John, the "contest " itself illustrates the extent of the problem. Good grief, is this what we are reduced to? A contest to find leadership qualities? This is what comes from power point sermons. Look, if there's such a vacuum of these qualities in the church, then by what qualities are those who are invited to participate supposed to be doing the choosing? By their emotions? By how they FEEL about the person? This is so sad as to be unbearable.

Apart from his irrational fear of Israel, which I never will understand and for which there is simply no justification, his analysis of things is dreadfully accurate and disturbing to the complacent and to those who think that since they are not drowning, the ship must not be sinking.

Mr. Olasky, I hate to say it but if it's leadership characteristics you are searching out, I doubt if the evangelical church is the best place to be looking for them. It used to be an environment where such characteristics were developed and matured but in the last 50 years or so we have seen a growing spirit of infantilization and feminization taking over what once produced not merely giant intellects but giant spirits and souls as well. Go to the average evangelical church these days and, instead of encountering the fellowship of a requirement to the hard and disciplined philosophical life of self-denial and the embrace of suffering for Christ's sake, you will find the ubiqutous power point display of vapid lyrics sung to the sounds...

The story may be apocryphal but it makes the point well. A retired military man lecturing at a University on some foreign policy issues was interrupted by a student asking the 60's era bromide, "What if we started a war and no one showed up?" The military man responded, "Young man, the aggressor ALWAYS shows up".
