One response to Birthers. The net result of a successful Birther effort to depose Obama would seem to be elevating Joe Biden to the Presidency. What's the point?

To get a job in the US, the Dept. of Homeland Security requires employers to have new employees complete a Form I-9 at the time of hiring (ask the HR rep at any employer). DoHS Form I-9 requires valid photo ID in the form of a current passport, or a driver's license and Social Security Card. Is this discrimination or disenfranchisement? I've never heard Holder rant about this. It's all liberal nonsense.

The strange thing is that this requirement made it into the legislation. Given the procedural path the bill followed I wonder how this section actually passed. And if this passed, why didn't it apply to more than just the CLASS program?

Amen! Also, one could not help but notice that the Muslim response outside the US at the mere threat of one over the top pastor burning the Quran was to set off a mass burning of our American Flag. Tolerance, my a@@!

There is a plethora of ads for gold and silver out there today. One thing that really annoys me is that I believe these ads have mixed the intrinsic value proposition of precious metals with the proposition of collectibles. I think it's deceptive to show ingots/bullion in the same ad as coins, especially when there are vague references to old coins being worth fortunes on occasion. That may be, but that's a function of numismatics, not the market price for gold or silver. I'm not following the US Mint Silver Eagles at all but please be sure to divorce the collectible value from the price of the underlying silver when you discuss it for your readers.

You're giving one of these SOBs a free pass. I refer to Paul Hodes, NH Congressional District #2, who voted for this damn bill. I see they're targeting Shea-Porter in district #1 but that doesn't help me. This issue is that Hodes will almost certainly run for Judd Gregg's NH senate seat. So I respectfully request a new entry so I can donate to defeat Paul Hodes. I tried to leave this feedback on their web site but there wasn't any way to do it.

While I share your view on this issue, I wish you would also elaborate on the consequences of the lawsuits' prevailing. Should the provision be found unconstitutional, what then? Does the rest of the bill stand, minus that provision? Would the whole bill be thrown out? Just as the Democrats have certainly ignored unintended consequences of this awful law, opponents should be clear about the consequences of a successful legal challenge. Might that outcome render the awful law even worse?
When I asked one of the "birther" movement representatives the consequence of their prevailing in court, the answer was that Joe Biden would then become President. Who would waste any effort working to replace Obama with Biden?
