On a surface level, I can appreciate the religious intention of reserving a woman's beauty and fidelity for her husband or for her intended and the attempt to ensure respect for one's husband as the head of the family unit through enforced religious dogma.

Unfortunately, as in Roman Catholicism and other legalistic religious expressions, repression and legalism is a dim shadow of a genuine understanding of these necessities and, more often than not, results in the opposite reaction from what is intended.

A former gang memeber friend of mine, who has spent enough time in prison to know, tells me that Muslims are overrepresented in prison and usually for some form of sexual devaincy..

"There must be a special place in hellll for those who corrupt and traumatize our children. This is beyond disgusting. No wonder I rarely watch TV."

Matt 18:5-6
5 "Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me; but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened round his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea."
RSV
You sound like a Jihadi.
"Many were irked by the loud Christian protesters who stood at the perimeter of the prayer event. These individuals held large signs that read "Study and Obey the Bible," and "Know The God Of The Bible." The used loud bull horns to preach, and distract the worshippers from their prayers."

Yes, many of us are just simply stupid and should just stay home if they can't engage intelligently. Why they think bull horns will increase the effectiveness of what we have to say escapes me. Give me an intelligent and devout Muslim rather than a stupid Christian.

I make a cleqar distinction between Arab culture and Islamic culture.

Please list contributions to culture that the Islamists have offered that you would like to see us in the West adopt.

Remember, they don't even manufacture toys, for crying out loud.
"After 9/11, when a lot of people were saying, ‘The problem is Islam,’ I was thinking, It’s something deeper than that. It’s about human social networks and the way that they operate.”

There's truth to that assessment but the author of the statement then goes on to give an unsupportable diagnosis of the problem and we are supposed to simply accept his diagnosis uncritically.

The fact of the matter is that wherever Islam attaines a sizable minority in a formerly non-Islamic society, social chaos is the result and the presence of the 7th century ideology cannot be discounted as insignificant or immaterial.

All an objective observer needs do is compare the relative cultural and material disparaties in non-Islamic...
Do you consider it at all significant that, in the West, Islam is ascending at the same time that Christianity is in decline?
everything that defines The West is an offense to them.

It does not matter if it is the best aspects of the West, as in our Judeo-Christian heritage and its derivatives, or the worst of the West, in our Liberal and Existentialist materialism and political and personal corruption, it is offensive to them and that is why a true Islamist will never adopt Western values or norms and they keep themselves separate from the larger part of Western Society and do not assimilate.

At some point, a true Islamist will have to chose which master he is going to serve and when he does, the Tafts of the world become his enemy.

You will never see a homosexual appointed as an iman.

Nor will you ever hear of an Enlightenment...

I'll only vote for a Republican who can exhibit some outrage.

Anything less, and I'm staying home.

"Sidenote- You really should refer to the president as President Obama- you may not respect the man, but you should respect the office. Every president, regardless if they were good, bad - you liked them, hated them etc - were still the President of our country and should be shown that respect."

Nonsense.

I have no respect for dishonesty...in any form. He won the office on marketing skills aided and abetted by a corrupted media and an ill-informed electorate, not on any merit or achievement.

That THIS man attained THIS office, so easily, should trouble you.
