The average student loan debt carried by a graduating senior in 2010 was $25,250. Straight from the horses' mouth. So the figures you cite must be the average, PER SEMESTER, SUBSIDIZED Stafford loan amount. It is easy to manipulate figures and even facts to support your claims, but you lose credibility among thinking people in the process. The real problem is the huge increases in tuition and fees made by both state and private colleges and universities in response to the promise of free money from the government. Many have lowered their admissions standards and they lure young men and women in with promises of future success. This scheme began well before we elected a democrat to office. Why is everything Obama's fault?
