Tea Partiers Take Protests to Washington
No one is watching the MSM anymore...
...but they aren't paying attention to the Tea Party movement, either.
(snip)
And even if 500,000 come, which is doubtful, it won't have any impact. These things need well over a million or two million to get noticed. Not enough people care, or they don't share the same values.
----
You are right about the media not covering the movement, except to cover anything they can use to discredit the movement.
For example: MSNBC's Morning Meeting does a story about gun carrying people outside townhalls, specifically focusing on a man with a rifle in close up video shots, then turns that into an attack on and example of "white racists", yet the man carrying...
Hey A**holes! Obama Wants to Talk to Your Kids
The more I read and hear about ACORN the more I believe that ACORN and the many branches of that tree are engaged in Organized Crime where Federal Funds are laundered and re-distributed to fund everything from voter registration/vote buying to being "donated" to campaigns in the names of people who are either members of organizations such as ACORN/SEIU or even in the names of the voters those organizations collected as part of the voter registration activities.
One or more of the States currently investigating ACORN needs to dig deep into the ACORN tree, before we...
Hey A**holes! Obama Wants to Talk to Your Kids
While it is good that he is no longer "inside the Federal Family", it does not mean he will not have a role to play outside the "Federal Family".
He will return to what he knows best, working as an "activist" as part of an organization such as Ella Baker where he will be funnelled funds through people like Soros or other organizations like the ACORN/SEIU web.
Just because he is no longer on the White House payroll as a "CZAR", or special advisor as the White House would like them called, it doesn't mean he wont have the ear of the President. He doesn't even need to have direct contact with him, he can just relay his "advise" through people like Valerie Jarrett or Nancy Sutley.
Now pressure...
The politics of government usurpation, post-Kelo
In one case the city bought land, not using eminent domain, near a rail road crossing with plans to elevate it so the rail traffic didn't impede street traffic. Now years later the city has decided that crossing is less important on the list of crossings to be elevated.
When the newest city manager took office it was disclosed to the public that the city has a lot of property around the city but no clear reason why it owned the property. So now the city has to do an inventory of the property to determine what and why it is city owned.
The biggest fiasco has been the local Waterwalk by the river. This projects is more than...
A Boortz Shun?
----
I have no problem with the legal aspect of getting Roe v. Wade overturned, I think it is bad law because it was "legislating from the bench", but that is one small part of a much larger public agenda. And it is the other parts of the agenda, and those who radically pursue it that cause the problems.
I am in Wichita KS and I have watched for years the radicals of the "pro-life" crusade take drastic if not illegal actions that only served to make them and those they claim to represent all look bad in the eye of public opinion.
People like...
A Boortz Shun?
I don't think government, especially Federal, should be able to tell we the people what we can or can't do. We are in charge of government not the other way around.
In some ways that works in favor of things I believe and in other it works against.
I dislike abortion with a passion, but just as I think it is wrong for Liberal/Progressives to use government to tell a woman she HAS to buy health insurance or CAN'T buy a gun, so do I feel it is wrong for Conservatives to use government to tell a woman that she CAN or CAN'T get an abortion.
If you are for small government which takes...
A Boortz Shun?
2) Here is what I have learned from listening to Boortz (he is welcome to correct me if I'm wrong); per his faith he is pro-life (he would say anti-abortion), but against government telling us what we can or can't do.
Just because he is against an anti-abortion law doesn't mean he is against ending abortion, he just feels there are other ways to go about it.
This position makes since given he is also a man of faith in God but finds many...
