The first war the US ever fought overseas was with the Barbary pirates. When Thomas Jefferson confronted the ambassador from the Barbary states this is the reponse he received:
“it was written in the Koran, that all Nations who should not have acknowledged their authority were sinners, that it was their right and duty to make war upon whoever they could find and to make Slaves of all they could take as prisoners, and that every Mussulman(Muslim) who should be slain in battle was sure to go to Paradise.”
Anyone who tells you that Islam is a religion of peace is either very ignorant or lying through his teeth.

It seems almost fitting that the media is now being trampled. They voiced no objection when religous freedom was attacked. They voiced no objection to attacks on the 2nd Amendment. Now we are supposed to rally in their support. They stood aside or worse yet sided with those who would infringe on our rights under the Constitution. Time and again they have put their byline ahead of national security issues by publishing sensitive materials. They have instigated witch hunts that have ruined some people's good name and never apologized when they were wrong.
Allowing the infringement of any of our Constitional freedoms undermines all of our freedoms. Now their time has come and they don't like it.
