Life Without Parole

Simple. Because opposites must exist. For light, there is darkness; for love, there is hatred; for blessings, there are curses; for happiness, sadness. For good, therefore, there must be evil. There must be suffering, agony. How else can you truly enjoy the good things in life, appreciate even the smallest things, if you don't suffer anything, if you're not deprived of something? Please, find the book "Dialogues and Essays of Seneca" and read the section called "On Providence". Read his arguments and refute it with sound logic. People suffer because they are deemed worthy by God, not because He hates them or that He doesn't exist. He loves us, thus he lets us suffer, so that we may become strong, so that we may be able to become happy.
I totally agree. I've got absolutely nothing against Mexicans immigrating to the US. I just wish they'd do it all LEGALLY. That's really the main problem here. For me, it's not a matter of what illegal immigrants have brought to our country and whatnot. For me, it's a matter of them not respecting the laws of our country.

If you want to be in our country, then you better respect it and what it stands for. If not, then get the hell out.

We can get into more specifics of illegal immigration as some on this thread have done, but really, this is what it comes down to.

If You Want to Lead You Have to Read

They don't have to, but they should. I'm learning ancient Greek, and the difference is so great. We miss out on so much by not reading the original texts. The English translations do not get everything across.

Hello. I plan to homeschool my children when I reach that point in my life. You seem to know what you're doing. So I was wondering if you can give some suggestions, recommendations, etc., as to what and when to teach them particular things. Please e-mail me at: xtruthwanted@gmail.com Any help would be very much so appreciated. Thank you. :)

"... until I remember they are our next leaders..." Agreed. Here's hoping that those who aren't arrogant idiots and would actually be good leaders would go into politics and be our next leaders. I wouldn't trust any of my peers who say they want to go into law or politics to lead us. (Yes, I am among the "young people".) They're all so... liberal.

Well put. I'd also like to add that what opportunities do come tends to depend on one's preparation. For example, my cousin paid not a single cent for her college education. She was offered a job in an accounting firm right out of high school. Her employers paid for her college education. Now she's making quite a bit of money. I would not say that that was luck. Not at all. Such an opportunity came to her because of how she decided to spend her time in high school. She chose to care; she chose to work. Now she's successful, at least according to society's definition of "success". I don't quite remember the quote word for word, but I believe it went something along these lines: "Good things come to those who hustles while he waits."

Agreed. Circumstances don't dictate how you'll do in life. You're put under those circumstances, and you choose which road you want to take.
