In response to:

On Christmas, Liberals Are By No Means Liberal

I cannot in good faith post this column to facebook although the column is good the spam is atrocious. If any of my friends who read it believe the spam then it would be counter productive. Townhall has fallen flat on its face with regard to keeping postings on topic and editing out propaganda. So until such time as they start doing so, and it is their web site they can edit anything on it they like, I won't be posting the articles to facebook or recommending them to my circle of friends. Other than that I wish everyone: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Chris, I understand what you mean about the spamming trolls. But that is what it is. You don't like to see lunacy in your family, but sometimes it's there.
The important thing that gives me hope is that nobody can successfully rebut anything Dr. Thomas Sowell says. His integrity is powerful, his prose sublime. Notice that up to this point the only one who dares to disagree is ATL_LearningCommunity, and all he can say is that Sowell is being unkind to the poor liberals. Boo hoo!
Dr. Sowell soothes my soul and gives me reasons for optimism every time he writes. You should share his words with all your friends. Illuminati is just a sick person like the homeless guy at the bus station. They'll see that for what it is.

I'm in the process of leaving the people's republik of Kalifornia. Load by load I am moving my possessions out of state to a much more constitutional place. Jan Brewer is my hero as governor of my new adopted home. I hope to be completely moved in the next month or so. People of Arizona, rest assured that I won't be bringing any of the idiotic voting policies of my home state with me. I have a gun in my pocket right now and if a burglar should break into my house the police will need to call for a hearse, not an ambulance. That is what should have happened in Newtown, the principle should have shot the maniac dead before he ever got near any of the children. She did her best but was shackled by stupid regulations.
Random thoughts on the passing scene:

When I was growing up, an older member of the family used to say, "What you don't know would make a big book." Now that I am an older member of the family, I would say to anyone, "What you don't know would fill more books than the Encyclopedia Britannica." At least half of our society's troubles come from know-it-alls, in a world where nobody knows even 10 percent of all.

Some people seem to think that, if life is not fair, then the answer is to turn more of the nation's resources over to politicians --...
