Not really. The idea that failing to vote got Obama in may be true, but it is also possible to weigh the current situation, decide there is no real solution and let the idiots have what they want. At some point, people decide there is so much stupid the only solution is to hand stupid a rope and watch the outcome. Propping up stupid by compromises just drags thing out. The triumph of stupid seems pretty clear at this point. Kick the ladder and walk away. Let them deal with the mess they made.
