More from the Reason poll of millennials http://reason.com/assets/db/14048863511533.pdf : 52% approve of President Obama's job performance. 42% say socialism is better than capitalism 45% say gov't has a duty to reduce income gaps 62% self-identify as liberal on social issues (27% say they're conservative) 49% self-identify as liberal on economic issues (37% say they're conservative) 50% say it's morally wrong that some children inherit a lot of money while other inherit nothing 44% say companies pay too little in taxes 46% believe that in a fair society everyone would end up with the same amount of money
Millennialls are NOT leaning conservative. According to the (libertarian) Reason poll: ? 74 percent: government should guarantee every citizen has a place to sleep and enough to eat; ? 72 percent: raise the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour; ? 69 percent: government should guarantee everyone access to health care; ? 68 percent: government should ensure everyone makes a living wage; ? 66 percent: raising taxes on the wealthy would help the economy; ? 63 percent: spending more on job training would help the economy; ? 58 percent: government should spend more on assistance to the poor even it means higher taxes; ? 57 percent: spend more money on infrastructure; ? 54 percent: government should guarantee everyone a college education; and ? 51 percent: view Obamacare favorably. Doesn't sound horribly conservative to me.
