What Went Wrong Last Tuesday

You are ignoring facts. The Tea Party delivered the 2012 votes with a clear message. The Republican leadership left the message and lost the election. They listened to the LEFT who depicted the Tea Party as several things it was not. It was about two things: 1: Less government spending; 2: Smaller government. People respond to clarity which was a major part of Obama success. He never left his main point - Tax the rich. That was his winning mantra. Romney was lost in an "I'm not Obama fog". Complexity may oil government (for now), but it doesn't win elections.

We have already forgotten the lessons of 2012 when Republicans took back the House and almost took the Senate. It was a sweeping rebuttal of President Obama's first 2 years. The fire for that victory came from the Tea Party. That kind of passion is contagious. Several candidates won on Tea Party platforms as they embraced what the Republican party should be about. But the Republican leadership was not impressed. They successfully pushed the Tea Party movement aside. Compare that to the Occupy movement. While the left didn't always embrace the methods, they openly embraced the movement and the messengers. It rings hollow when the Republican leadership pushes for limited government when they shot the very messengers who issued the call.

Obama's Hate Couture Divas

The hypocrisy and deceit of the left is limitless.
Or perhaps the devious leading the gullible would be better.
The problem with liberals is that they are ruled by their emotions. That may be a fine way to watch a movie or read a book but it's a terrible way to run a country. Just look at recent statement by Nancy Pelosi that electing Romney will take America back to pre-Lyndon Johnson days. The statement is pure foolishness but it is designed to appeal to the the emotional left that, on election day, will vote with their feelings and not their minds. The Democratic party is the devious leading the stupid.
She is a TV and movie actress.
Black conservatives are the new vanguard of the race war. They understand that Democratic policies have resulted in an indentured servitude for black America and they will not be bound to it any longer. But the prejudice, the vitriol, the hate mongering that they face is from the black left which spares no bile to attack them. They are the Terrence Roberts and Elizabeth Eckford's of a new generation and they should be applauded for their courage.
One of the advantages of being older is that I don't have to view the history of my lifetime through the lense of academic investigation or third party narrative. I lived it. I remember the fight to legalize abortion back in the 60's and 70's. And I remember that chief among the arguments of the left was "No more unwanted children." Well we have to ask, how has that worked out? The answer: Child abuse numbers at record levels, that's how. It's what happens when a child is not a person but a choice.
Hypothetically speaking, IF Romney did lie during the first debate, I can understand why Obama was so taken back. Romney is an essentially honest guy. Conversely and more accurately, Romney was not the least bit flustered by Obama's lies. He and America are used to it. A classic example was Obama's claim that domestic oil production is up under his administration. This is only because oil is being produced in ways and places his administration can't stop. No administration has been as anti-oil as this one. He devastated Gulf of Mexico oil exploration while using American tax dollars to invest in Brazilian offshore drilling. What a liar!!
It tells me that Obama bought the Michigan vote with his illegal payoffs of the auto industry. Duh!
Republicans have to really wake up and smell the left stench. Right around the time of the RNC a mapped showed Romney winning big and after the convention he was strong in the polls. That's when the left wing media saw trouble for their home boy YoBama and they hit the ground running. Since then they have flooded the airwaves and print media with titled polls and their left wing spin. If YoBama looses Chris Matthews will personally barricade the Oval Office and refuse to let Romney in, screaming "That's impossible, we had it rigged" the whole time. And read the handwriting on the wall. As all their Pollbama's show the anointed one in the lead, when Romney wins, watch out. There will be lawsuits and mischief galore.
