Stop blaming the debt on defense, wars etc...and actually take a hard look at the budget. Yes, our conflicts these past years have been expensive. Yes, there should have been a reasonable manner to bring revenue but as usual folks would have complained. Should we raise taxes absolutely not. I say this for one specific reason. Congress, and the executive past and present cannot spend and budget responsibly. So, what makes you think they will when they take more of our money!
