So true. What happened to Dr. Cosby was chilling. Of course since I am white I cannot speak on these matters. I am the problem apparently.

I read about a meeting of Harvard admissions folks with parents interested in getting their children into the prestigious university. The Harvard admissions person went on and on about "holistic" this and that, talking generalities, but would steer away from specific questions about GPA, extra caricular activities, class ranking, etc. Finally after being pressed she admitted that each freshman class consisted of 1/3 of the students had a 'hook', in other words they were being admitted for a sport, or some special academic ability, or 'identity group' the university needed. 1/3 were legacy, and 1/3 were general competition. Of the 1/3 in the general competition Harvard could fill three incoming freshman classes with Valadictorians. So the lesson there is you better be a legacy or be a fencing or crew champion, otherwise forget it.

Cutting, brilliant, incisive, as usual.

Some French anarchist: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Property_is_theft! the concept has been around a while.
Try this website: http://money.cnn.com/calculator/pf/cost-of-living/ A great way to see what salaries are comparable based on cost of living. In line with the article above it would take $233,000 pe year in Manhattan to have the same quality of life as $100,000 in Dallas, TX.
